Modern building near Pancharevo lake

Lake UP is a modern residential building located in the middle of the beautiful Pancharevo gorge, just above the lake and next to the famous restaurant "Swan". The area is forested mainly with coniferous and deciduous tree species such as spruce, pine, fir and oak. The project is built on a triangular shaped property and an approximately 5 meter sloping topography. Through the site analysis of this project we made the decision to position the building with as much preservation of the surrounding environment and existing greenery as possible.

Through the site analysis we were also able to carefully select natural materials that help the exterior envelope of our building carefully fit into the richly landscaped environment of the surrounding context. The main idea for the facade layout is dictated by natural features, such as asymmetrical vertical wood slats, which are reminiscent of how nature would scatter them. All elements of this project complement the realities of the forest flora. Each level of the building is separated from the next by an elegant pause with natural stone, which gives additional dynamics to the exterior. The spacious loggias and panoramic windows located along the entire height of the premises create a connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding nature, and help luminate the surroundings through the high intensity lighting from the interior.

lake UP is designed entirely for residential needs, and includes four above-ground and one underground floor, intended entirely for parking. It consists of a total of 17 apartments, tailored to all the needs of future owners. Within the framework of the property a large part of the existing flora is preserved, which along with the newly planted tree species will complement the landscape atmosphere around the building. The richly landscaped spaces overflow into individual yard areas as well.

The volumetric solution of the building follows a regular geometric shape with a well-inscribed facade composition in the overall appearance of the area, which helps elevate the project and break the regularity of the volume by camouflaging the building through both small and large exterior elements. The vision of the building is minimalist and modern. Each of the details contributes to the comfort and coziness of the modern home, which will be experienced by future residents.
